Understanding Asana (40 hours) Step onto the mat with a new sense of wonder as we bridge the gap between physical movement and the profound wisdom of the practice. This module invites you on an immersive journey through 20 foundational yoga postures, moving beyond the surface to explore the beautiful intersection of anatomy and energy. Together, we will uncover the "why" behind each shape—diving into its historical origins, Sanskrit roots, and the unique benefits it offers to the body and soul. Guided by precise principles of alignment, you will learn to honor the architecture of every posture while mastering the art of modifications and safety contraindications. Whether you are deepening your personal practice or preparing to guide others, you will leave this study with the confidence and clarity to teach with heart and technical grace. We explore: - in-depth study of 20 main yoga postures - theoretical, anatomical and energetic composition - principles of alignment - sanskrit terminology for each posture - origin, purpose and benefits of the posture - modifications and alternative postures - contraindictations
