Shake the dust of the mind – dance into the now. Osho Active Meditations are where movement meets mindfulness so you can live a more fulfilled life. This is for you if: • you feel overloaded with suppressed emotions and chronic stress • your mind resists traditional sitting meditations • you wish to combine breath, movement, mantra, silence and dance to dissolve internal blocks and accelerate entry into witnessing awareness and inner peace • gain emotional clarity, increase energy, enhance creativity and improve resiliencce in daily life In short, active Meditations are...active. We will move our bodies on flow with breath, gazing, dancing, swaying and gradually transitioning to stillness. This creates deep states of awareness and connection. Osho, who was an Indian philosopher, mystic and founder of the Rajneesh movement in the 70’s, developed therapies that merged Indian philosophy with techniques more suited to the modern Westerner. Osho argued that emotions held within the body become stuck with our western lifestyle. We need time to shake, move, dance, and breathe deeply to release those emotions before the energy of stillness can be found. In this series, we will explore a variety of Osho Active Meditations through movement and sound and will harness a sense of community through shared spiritual experiences. No dance, meditation or yoga experience necessary. Come as you are.
